A quiet, detached cottage offerring second floor accommodations located on a secluded setting near the historic "W" Road, The Roost offers a retreat from busy life and yet is convenient to Chattanooga biking and hiking trails. It is a rustic and simple abode: simple rock paths not paved, tub not whirlpool, TV/VCR but not cable. It allows couples together time and families bonding time. Our interiors offer cathedral ceilings, local artisans' work (for sale) and handcrafted furniture. There are typically up to 20 original impressionistic and expressionistic paintings and 45 art prints. The master bedroom features a custom made queen size bed and a full window wall overlooking 40 wooded acres. The kitchen nook looks onto a garden. On the first floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, washer dryer, range...etc. This floor also offers a
queen size sleeper sofa.

The Roost is near fun shopping: antiques, flowers, boutiques and cafes. Hiking, biking and mountain air abound. In Chattanooga, a short 15 minutes drive: fresh water aquarium, the Imax Theatre, the Bluff View Art District, the Choo-Choo, funky Frazier and outlet stores. The Roost's local geography - mountains, ridges and rivers - lends itself to outdoor adventure: hiking, climbing, rafting, caving and hang gliding. Climbers are attracted to our natural bouldering areas: Foster Falls, Sunset Park, the Tennessee Wall and Cherokee Bluffs; they also visit the Walnut Street Bridge Climbing wall and Tennessee Bouldering Authority. |

Eat in the privacy of your own cottage - candlelight dinners or late morning breakfasts. Guests may enjoy a variety of homemade breads ranging from cinnamon walnut to pumpkin to cranberry apple to honey wheat. We offer juices, granola, fresh fruits and yogurt. With advance notice, we are happy to cater to special diets fulfilling varied requests: low carb bagels, lactose free products, organic produce, heart healthy cereals...etc. As both the refrigerator and coffee maker are in the cottage, guests can wake up and eat in their slippers and robes at whatever time suits their fancy. Guests may also choose to bring their own goodies, microwave popcorn...etc. |
Our rates are $115 a night for top floor and $150 for both floors. These rates are based on double occupancy and include breakfast. Additional guests are $20 per night. Extended stay with discounted rate available. We request a one night's deposit at the time of reservation. deposits Deposits are refundable up to one weeks notice. Children are welcome. We are a smoke free environment. |
