This suite consists of two connecting rooms and a private bath, in the pre-Civil War part of the house, with original decorative fireplaces, heart-pine floors, nine-over-nine double-hung windows, and high ceilings. The restful Britton Room, decorated in soft greens, features period French and Victorian furnishings, Parisian lace curtains, and superbly comfortable Queen bed, fit for a princess (or prince!). TV, VCR available. The cheerful, adjoining Violet Room's furnishings date from the 1890's, including a graceful double iron bed, and brass-trimmed daybed-sofa, which can accommodate an extra party, making the suite ideal for families traveling together. |

A charming, French-inspired Victorian bath, opening from the Violet Room, serves both rooms. Its petite claw-foot tub has been updated with brass shower fixtures, for both bathing preferences. Two high, arched windows offer light, skirted by vintage Brussels lace curtains for privacy.

Audubon King Room A large, hand-woven, fanciful Mashad hunting rug, depicting birds and animals, sets the theme for Tanasi's largest bedroom, which offers a handsome, restful King-sized bed, exotic antiques from many ports, stained-glass chandelier, and one of the most beautiful fireplaces in the home. TV and VCR available. The in-room, hand-painted sink is installed in a century-old walnut washstand. An original door separates the new, private, ceramic tile shower and commode. Part of the 1874 addition to Tanasi, the spacious Pomeroy Room is decorated in blue and white Toile. Delft tiles and original oak mirrored fireplace fill one wall, opposite a deep bay window with seating area, and antique lace curtains. A carved four-poster bed with high headboard, marble-topped furnishings and walnut armoire invite you to make yourself at home. Private tiled shower and built-in marble sink, cable TV, VCR.

Peaceful shades of azure make this French-Victorian bedroom beautiful and restful, its colors dictated by original, heavenly-blue tiles in the white fireplace. Hand-painted 1880's cottage furniture match the double-size canopy bed, trimmed in hand-embroidered lace hangings.
Lovely view of rolling side yards, woods, and carriage barn.

Delightful six-sided room, playfully decorated in Victorian childhood theme. Period, double-size walnut bed, cottage pine dressers, 1880's toys, and a strawberries motif. Three high windows face the wrap-around upstairs porch, tucked under the protective arms of the Wedding Tree, Tanasi's grand magnolia.
