Cortner Mill Restaurant
Elegant Country Dining in the Scenic Historic Atmosphere of an 1825 Grist Mill
As early as 1825 grain travelled across the mill stones at Cortner Mill on its way to feed the community. The mill stones are now embedded in the threshold of the front door and the community travels across them on their way to be fed. Corn meal and flour have given way to elegant country dining. Miller's aprons have been traded for chef jackets.
Food and Wine to Celebrate!
The community comes to Cortner Mill when it wants to celebrate. Couples come to celebrate an anniversary. Families come to celebrate weddings and birthdays. Businesses come to celebrate retirements and the end of another successful year. Friends bring their out of town guests to show off a community treasure.
Elegant Country Menu -
Sorry, no California tofu or South Pacific mahi mahi here. Most of our entrees come from a river or a farm and are prepared with a special touch of the country.
New Wine Cellar Selections
One wine expert declared our wine list "fabulous". Select your wine, champagne, or port from a list that takes you from California to France and back through Spain, Portugal, and Australia. Maybe you will start your meal with Brie cheese and fresh fruit along with a glass of our varietal house wines. Make a special occasion more memorable with a champagne toast. Our selections satisfy your range of tastes from fruity zinfandels to a powerful Chateaunef du Pape.
Some of our cellar selections valued highly by our guests include:
Vueve Clicquot Brut Champagne
Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon
Louis Latour Puligny Montrachet
Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon
Louis Latour Pouilly Fuisse
Chateau Beychevelle Burgundy
Cockburn 20 Year Tawny Port
Holiday and Sunday Buffets
While dinner menu service is offered every day except Sunday and Monday our antique flour sifter becomes a hundred square foot buffet table on Sundays and holidays. We're even open on Christmas Day, but you had better make a reservation early because I promise we'll be too full for even Santa.
Specialties of the House
We make it special because we start with fresh fruits and vegetables and everything we serve is made from scratch in our kitchen.
