Michael and Paula Whisenant have a true love and appreciation for the Little Young House, its history, and the families who called it home. The house is rich with documented history that the two of them love to share with their guests!

Michael, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, fulfilled a dream when he purchased the house in 2001, and turned it into a Bed and Breakfast. Michael had worked in busy Birmingham, Alabama in publishing for over a decade and was ready for the charm and peace of a small town. Fayetteville provided the perfect place!

In 2004, Michael met and married Paula Whitaker, who hails from Harlan, Kentucky in the Eastern, Appalachian region of that state. Having worked for the University of Kentucky for nearly ten years and having the opportunity to meet many different people from all walks of life, Paula was excited about the opportunity to marry into a bed and breakfast and do the same there!

Michael and Paula have filled the Little Young House with family heirlooms and antiques that are near and dear to their hearts. They enjoy sharing their home with visitors and those who have a special love and appreciation for the past.
