Welcome to historic Ledford Mill below the headwaters of Shipman's Creek. This 1884 gristmill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and on the Tennessee Heritage Trail. Restored in 1996, it is now a three story country inn with three exclusive accommodations.

We are only three miles from Tullahoma's many restaurants, stores and services. The diverse cities of Nashville, Chattanooga and Huntsville are less than an hour away. For those folks who are city-shy, we recommend touring our neighborly Tennessee Backroads. Antiques, crafts, distillery tours, the Walking Horse Celebration...it's all nearby!

Two spectacular waterfalls frame the gardens. An inviting stone path winds along the creek over an arched footbridge to the falls. High above is a serene mill pond. A stone's throw across the road is our barn, old and stately, having once sheltered mules and horses in the hey-days of the mills' activity.

Guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast anytime between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Fresh fruit, delicious baked goods and juice accompany special breakfast casseroles, omelettes or gourmet French toast that have become Ledford Mill favorites. Linger over coffee in the breakfast room overlooking the falls or fill a picnic basket and dine in your suite, or in the garden.

The Gift Shop and lobby are open to the public Tuesday-Sunday, 12-4.

After 4 p.m. the falls, creek and gardens are for the use of the guests only. Your retreat provides an ideal atmosphere for quiet conversation, reading and enjoying the natural surroundings. Or, choose from many movies in our video library. Refreshments and snacks are always on hand in our mill kitchen.
