The Mountain Laurel

Laurel Springs Lodge is named after the beautiful Mountain Laurel.

An evergreen American shrub, the mountain laurel brings forth it's beautiful clusters of small, rose-colored or pinkish-white flowers in late spring.

Adopted by two eastern states as their floral emblem, this handsome shrub is closely related to the true laurel of Europe, which since ancient times has been the symbol of honor, fame, and victory.
