Other of fields of combat include Parker's Crossroads, scene of one of General Nathan Bedford's skirmishes. It is just 30 minutes
east.

If you want to see more, continue South to Vicksburg or go East to the Frankin area around Nashville. So many important battles here in the "West"!
A tour of Jackson informs war buffs of the five railroads which crossed here and made Jackson so crucial to both sides.
