The Franklin House Bed and Breakfast is a century-old farmhouse style home listed on the National Register of Historic Places, located just three blocks from the Historic Main Street of downtown Franklin, Tennessee. We are two blocks from the Carter House and one-mile from the Carnton Plantation and Confederate Cemetery. One of the lovely features of the house is a wrap-around porch with a six-foot antique wicker swing for swinging and comfortable rockers for rocking.

A full breakfast of freshly-baked breads or muffins, breakfast casseroles and fresh seasonal fruit is served in the downstairs dining room furnished in 19th century antiques. Or, you may choose to have your breakfast served on the porch (weather permitting).

Franklin was one of the few towns in Tennessee to be totally engulfed in a Civil War battle. The Carter House was in the exact center and the Carnton Plantation was used as a field hospital during the Battle of Franklin. Museums, cemeteries, an historic Main Street, a federal post office and many more attractions reflect Civil War history. It is one-part main street magnetism that charms your soul and harkens you back to a simpler time and one-part cosmopolitan that provides you with the very best and latest in accommodations, recreation, shopping, and entertainment. The city of Franklin offers trolley bus service throughout the Cool Springs area and historic downtown District.

Franklin is located just south of "Music City, USA", Nashville, Tennessee, and is easily accessible via Interstate 65 and major state highways. State Route 840 makes Franklin an easy and quick drive from Interstates 24 and 40. For those arriving in the area by air, Franklin is served by Nashville International Airport (approximately 25 minutes drive time.)
