Upcoming Events

Every Year on the second week-end in September beginning on Friday night and going through Sunday morning 12:00 Noon is the Mountaineer Folk Festival at Fall Creek Falls State Park Village Green area. This year is the 31st year for this great event. 100-plus craft vendors will be selling their beautiful hand-made wares. All are juried crafts, no junk. Great old-time ballads and Bluegrass Mountain Music starts on Saturday morning and goes through late Saturday night with Gospel music on Sunday. Local Food Vendors from the local churches and Fire Departments furnish food on-site so their is no reason to leave for food; so good food by local folks. Stages set up for music and story-telling about the mountain days of long ago. Last but not least, demonstrations go on all day. Want to see Sorghum Molasses made the old fashion way, or Lye soap, hog-calling and cross-cut saw demonstration plus much more. No admission charge just donations asked for. Nothing like it anywhere so make your reservations now. Call the FCF Bed&Breakfast at 423-881-5494 for room reservations.
