Spring through Fall, Evins Mill in conjunction with The Herb Cottage, sponsors herb garden tours. Led by Susie Yelverton, a certified herbalist and owner of The Herb Cottage, tours take place at The Herb Cottage and feature its extensive medicinal and culinary herb gardens and green houses. There guests will smell, taste, and learn the background, folklore and practical uses of a variety of herbs.

Our Workshops in Water Color series makes any stay at Evins Mill even more enriching. Conducted by Linda Rigsby, who hails from England and is an award-winning artist and teacher, programs are designed with the beginner in mind.

Guests explore the magic of mixing colors and learn how to layer colors to achieve depth. They also learn other techniques, such as masking and spattering. Workshops take place in our historic gristmill. Materials are included.

Kitchen Cabinets
Our "Kitchen Cabinets" are part of an on-going series providing guests the chance to spend time in our kitchen with Executive Chef Jason Evans. During these kitchen cabinets, guests will have the opportunity to observe Chef Evans prepare a selection from the evening's menu.

Chef Evans will not only instruct guests on its preparation but will also provide them with a recipe so they can try it on their own. Our kitchen cabinets last just under an hour.
