Introduction
As soon as you turn off the highway, your transformation begins. Left
behind is the hurried, harried pace of life. At East Hills Bed and
Breakfast, you replace that pace with rest and relaxation in delightful
comfort.
East Hills Bed & Breakfast is in the heart of Dickson which is nestled in
the rolling hills of middle Tennessee - 40 miles west of Nashville; 4 1/2 miles off
I-40 West, exit 172, 6 miles from Montgomery Bell State Park,
and is approximately 18 miles from Natchez Trace Parkway exit
onto Hwy. 46.
The hospitality of hosts John and Anita Luther combine with the Southern
charm of the Inn to create an exceptional getaway for an evening, week or a
weekend. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, in need of a place for
exploring Middle Tennessee, tired of impersonal motel rooms or planning an
extended stay in the area, East Hills Inn provides an exceptional respite.
Awaken to the delightful aroma of a traditional Southern breakfast. Enjoy
your breakfast as you view the wildlife and spacious grounds that surround
you. Or enjoy a family-style sitdown setting of sharing stories with fellow
travelers.
Fireplaces in the large living room or the library/den invite you to try
your skill at a community puzzle or parlor games or curl up with a good
book or magazine. Swings and rockers on the Inn's long front porch and
enclosed back porch provide pleasant conversation areas or just a place to
while away an afternoon. A stroll through the trees or around nearby Luther
Lake (take along something for the ducks!) will revive your spirit.
If it's activity you're after, the Inn is convenient to shopping,
restaurants, the downtown area, Historic Charlotte and
Cumberland Furnace. The new GreyStone Golf Course is
just a mile away and Montgomery Bell State
Park with its award-winning 18-hole golf course is a short six
miles away.
East Hills Bed and Breakfast, built in the 1940s by John's father, is
reminiscent of a trip to grandma's where you were welcomed with open arms
and the smells of good cooking filled the air.
Fully restored in 1992, the bed and breakfast has 5,000 square feet of
living area including five bedrooms (each with cable TV) and five private
baths. Nestled among oak trees is Grayson Cottage that provides ultimate privacy. Extended stay guests take advantage of the cottage's full kitchen.
