Our home had been neglected for over 30 years before we purchased it in 1993. Therefore, major restoration and renovation was required. We did 99% of all the work ourselves (plumbing, plastering, masonry, roofing, guttering, laying tile floors, landscaping and you name it!) In addition to the restoration/renovation, we have added English-style gardens, picket fences, stone walls, brick paths, Jack's woodworking shop, private off-street guest parking and other outbuildings.
We feature three guest rooms, one of which is a suite. Our suite and one other room can accommodate a third person. All rooms are individually furnished with the comfort of our guests in mind. Each guest room has a private en-suite bathroom, private porch, canopy bed, vintage linens, carefully chosen art and period Tennessee and southern furniture (almost 100% of our furnishings are antiques). We have central heat and air conditioning. Each guest room is provided with a variety of reading materials. We do not have telephones or televisions in our guest rooms. We focus on providing a peaceful, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
