Whether your interests include canoeing the Bufffalo River, touring a working Amish farm, visiting Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch, or taking in a few rounds of golf, you will find Avaleen Springs a central location to these and other great activities!

A creekside path,(formerly the old Linden Highway), leads to our private fishing lake, currently stocked with Bass, Catfish, Croppies, Perch, Rainbow Trout and Bluegills--also great for picnics or just plain fish-watching. My wife and I went to Avaleen Springs B&B in Linden, TN for our one year anniversary. We were just wanting to get away from the fast paced city life and that's what we got. We traveled on the Nachez Trace Parkway from Nashville and it was a beautiful drive with no traffic. We arrived to Avaleen Springs and were immediately welcomed by the owner who showed us to our room which was the Poplar Suite with a bottle of champagne waiting. The room was very spacious with queen size bed, couch, chairs and bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower. The site itself is 30 acres but there is an additional 135 acres of remote land to go hiking. We were able to enjoy a 4 course meal as part of our package as well as breakfast each morning. The food was so good, that we decided not to go out to eat later for our actual anniversary! The hospitality was incredible! If you need to get away for a couple of days you won't find a more quiet, fun, romantic place than Avaleen Springs.

cheese, churned butter and more!!
- The Lewis County Museum of Local and
Natural History features one of the largest collections of wild animal
mounts in the western hemisphere.
- Hohenwald and Linden are filled with quaint junk and antique shops as well as intriguing gift shops and a diverse restaurant selection.
- There are tennis courts nearby.
- Enjoy a day trip to Lorretta Lynn's Ranch,or Grinder's Switch/Minnie Pearl Museum.
- History buffs will enjoy the Antebellum Trail or a
visit to nearby Shiloh Civil War Battlefield.
- Use your golfer's skills at either of the 2 nearby nine-hole golf courses.
- Two local horse/alpaca farms offering tours, weekend concerts featuring local talent, gift shops and horseback riding.
The Guest Haus at Avaleen Springs features a Suite and 2 guest rooms for your comfort where you will also enjoy a library of over 800 videos in addition to books and magazines of interest. Feel free to take a book to accompany you on a brief walk up to a 16x30 foot deck plus an outcove that includes built in seating and a Japanese style arched bridge set against the majestic sights and rushing sounds of a 20 foot waterfalls.
