Introduction

Ideally located on 40 acres west of beautiful Spearfish, South Dakota, Sand Creek Bed & Breakfast retains the charm, romance, and gracious hospitality of the historic Black Hills. Perfect for a memorable vacation, wedding or family reunion. Get a group together and come for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

The living room is available to guests for lounging, watching TV or just visiting. Three large windows give a spectacular view of the property. Breakfast is served in the family kitchen at 8:30 each morning, unless other arrangements are made. Special dietary needs accommodated upon request. Rates include breakfast.

Sand Creek Bed & Breakfast - Spearfish, South Dakota

Take a break from the South Dakota sun in our air conditioned facility. If simple relaxation is your goal, take a nap in the hammock on our large wrap-around porch. Experience the quiet pleasure of a country home.

If you are traveling with horses, we have a barn with 2 box stalls with runs available. You are welcome to exercise them most places on our 40 acres, in our large outdoor riding arena, or on nearby U.S. Forest Service land. Contact us for current rates.

Hunting - The Black Hills is a great place for hunting deer, elk, antelope, and turkey.
Although there is no hunting on our property, we can recommend nearby guides if you wish.

Sturgis Rally Week
The Sturgis Motor Cycle Rally is held annually the first full week in August. If a large group is interested in renting the entire house during that week, we vacate the premises, and that group has the entire house. Otherwise, we rent individual rooms. We also have a small apartment available in Spearfish. Sleeps 4. Contact us for current rates.

Weddings
The native South Dakota landscape provides the backdrop for you to create a personalized natural environment for your outdoor wedding. While a blanket of stars sets the mood for an enchanted evening, the party can continue as long as you can, as there is no curfew at Sand Creek Bed & Breakfast. Rent a tent, or use the garage/driveway as a reception/dance area. Plenty of parking--300 or more guests could easily be accommodated. On the day of your event you will enjoy complete access to the entire B & B to prepare for your wedding. This provides a comfortable, peaceful environment for you and your wedding party to share before the ceremony begins. Many people reserve the B & B for the grooms dinner/party the night before as well.

Family Reunions
Several families have held their reunions at our place. Lots of room for motor homes & tents in addition to the house. We have a bon fire pit in the backyard, a great setting for sing-a-long's or just visiting.

Original Guest Bedroom This is the largest of the three upstairs guest rooms. It has two queen size beds an in-room sink, and a TV. This room has private use of the full bathroom upstairs. Rates are $90 - $115 per night,
depending on the number of persons staying.
Jenny's Room This bedroom has a queen size bed, flat screen TV and a private 3/4 bath. $85 per night
Kirby's Room This room has a queen size bed, flat screen TV, and a private 3/4 bath. $85 per night
Summer House The Summer House is located away from the main house. Very small and very cozy, it has a day bed with a trundle that can be made into 2 twins, or a king. There is also a small refrigerator and wall air conditioner. There is no inside plumbing or running water. Full bathroom facilities are not available with this room, although there is a half bath inside the main house, about 75 yards away. (If you're the adventurous type, the outhouse is even closer!) $75 per night
Master Bedroom This bedroom has a king size bed and TV. The private master bathroom has a large shower, and a separate whirlpool tub. This room is on the ground floor and has a beautiful view of the pine trees. (2-night minimum). $125 per night

Guest Information
  • September 1 through May 31st - Winter special. Deduct $10 per person from room cost - Rooms only, no breakfast. At regular rates, breakfast is available.
  • A check or credit card is required to confirm your reservation, however we only accept cash or personal checks for payment of the room.
  • We are subject to state and local taxes and, therefore, must add them to our rates.
  • A one week cancellation notice is required and applies to all nights reserved.
  • Check in time is 3-6 p.m. Please call and make alternate arrangements if you’ll be later than 6 p.m.
  • Check out time is 11:00 a.m.
  • For your comfort, no pets and no smoking are allowed in the Inn. Smoking is allowed outside.
  • Rates subject to change without notice.
