| Mountains To Prairies Bed & Breakfast is accommodatingly located in Hill City -otherwise known as the Heart of the Hills -right in the central Black Hills. We are near South Dakota's great attractions including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mountain Carving, Custer State Park, mountain lakes and truly spectacular scenic drives. For the not so faint at heart, there are awe-inspiring climbing and trekking opportunities which beckon via massive granite vistas and wilderness trails. Or, if inclined to more leisurely pastimes, picking wild berries can be enjoyed most any summer day. |

Two distinctive suites, each privately situated, are offered. Both suites feature antique and unique furnishings, small refrigerators, satellite hd tv/dvd/vcr, cove heat and AC, plus ceiling fans. The Log-Accented Suite, Bluma Madle, has a Master Room highlighting a Victorian oak queen pillowtop bed. The private full bath has an airjet bathtub. In addition to comfortable seating in the Master Room, this suite has a front sitting area, with a log loft Bear Den equipped for sleepy kids to enjoy indoor camping. The ground level Knotty Pine Cabin-Style Suite, Chessie Lees Peas, has a personal entrance, private full bath, bay view pellet stove and a blissful Nook with cypress twin bed, handy for at least one little sleepyhead. Other amenities include a queen pillowtop master bed of rough-sawn vertical beams with knotty headboard. New with this suite is the Tree House Loft, an optional space which can sleep two people on a full-size pillowtop bed, and includes a half bath. This allows Chessie Lees Peas to accommodate up to five guests of one party. Available for the pleasure of all guests is a wraparound sitting porch. In-house we have an Espresso Bar and an Antiques Mini-Mall. In addition to browsing our own antiques, visitors may search through the antiques of three other dealers. We are within easy walking distance of everything Hill City has to offer, just 1-1/2 blocks to historic downtown, presenting delicious dining, fine art and delightful shops. Equally close are the popular Mickelson Trail (trails from rails for hiking and biking) and the 1880 Train, which travels directly along the path of some fascinating local history, through rugged and beautiful scenery. |
