Whether you choose the cozy charm of the Orchard and Centennial Rooms or the elegance of the Stable room, your accommodations at High Prairie will cosset you with carefree comfort. Mouth Watering refreshments and appetizers await you upon your arrival. Relax in the warmth of the living room fireplace or linger on the front porch as the sun sets or stargaze in the outdoor hot. The ambience of High Prairie whispers of years past while retaining modern conveniences.

A queen size Bob Timberlake bed greets you as you enter the Stable Room. Toile wallpaper adorns the walls with three 18'' deep window seats. Antique décor with period lighting accent this room located on the first floor.

Upon entering the Orchard Room, an antique Jenny Lynn four-poster bed receives you. Antique accents with period lighting unite with cherry red, yellow, and green décor providing a charming ambience reminiscent of years past.

An antique painted pine bedroom set resides in the Centennial Room. Kalua and cream décor blends with the antique accents and period lighting to lend a cozy feel for guests.

Our room rates are for two guests that includes nightly accommodations with turn down service, a gourmet breakfast, refreshments and appetizers are served upon your arrival.

  • Rates are $125 per night plus 5% South Dakota tax.
  • Reservations are held with a 50% deposit of check, money order, or Travelers check. Balance is due upon arrival.
  • Special Events are available throughout the year including Hot Dates, packages, murder mystery weekends, cooking classes and seasonal promotions.
  • High Prairie Lodge and Outfitters is a non-smoking establishment.
  • We are not able to accommodate children.
  • Pets are not allowed in the Lodge for Custer South Dakota Lodging. However, we do offer clean sheltered kennel runs for your convenience. Charge is $12 per day for each dog or cat.
  • We offer a fenced pasture with fresh water supply for our guests who bring their own horses. Cost is $12 per day per horse.
  • Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to reservation date will result in a full refund minus a $30 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of your confirmed arrival date will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
  • Rooms are available for check-in at 4pm; departure is at 11am. While we make every attempt to accommodate early arrivals, we cannot guarantee room availability before 4pm.
