Introduction
With the picturesque harbor and many of the city's best restaurants located within a two block radius, Vendue Suites B&B style inn is a hidden gem nestled squarely in one of downtown Charleston's most desirable locations. We're located in the midst of a historic mercantile district that is populated with incredible restaurants, art galleries, shops, historic homes, sightseeing stops, and nightlife - we love our location and so do our guests, many of whom come back year after year.
All guests receive a complimentary cocktail at our sister property, Fleet Landing restaurant, which is located around the corner from Vendue Suites. Room rates range from $135 - $160 for the one bedroom and $245 - $295 for the two bedroom suites.
Start your day with coffee and a sunrise stroll along Waterfront Park, where you'll have a birdseye view of our bustling harbor and breathtaking cable stay bridge. Spend your morning exploring the stunning architecture of the peninsula's South of Broad mansions. Take special note of the Charleston Single House. Stop in any number of cafes for lunch - ask Tradd to give you a list of our favorites!
After lunch, head out to a plantation or a beach or a boat tour - the possibilities are numerous. You'll have quite the decision to make once the dinner hour approaches. We like the fresh seafood and awesome waterfront setting of Fleet Landing, but I guess you could say we're partial. (Fleet is our sister property and located a block from the inn).

Come on down to Charleston. We're here to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. First it was McCrady's - the fine dining restaurant that Tradd Newton revitalized while working for the Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company in the late 1990s. It earned AAA's Four Diamond Award, garnered glowing reviews from Wine Spectator and Esquire, and introduced Newton as a savvy new personality amid Charleston's colorful dining scene.
For Tradd's second project, he and wife, Weesie, embraced the role of co-entrepreneurs with Fleet Landing, a casual seafood restaurant housed in a 1940s naval supply building that overlooks the Charleston harbor. Since Fleet Landing's 2004 opening, both the bustling restaurant and revitalized building have scored accolades from publications, including the New York Times, Town and Country, and Food and Wine.
For their third venture, the Newtons have expanded their
hospitality interests with the acquisition of Vendue Suites.
Comfort, privacy, and location set Vendue Suites apart from other inns. Comprised of only three units, guests enjoy a quiet sanctuary despite being located in a neighborhood filled with restaurants, galleries, and greenspace.
