One of the earliest houses in Summerville, it was built as a summer retreat from Charleston's heat and humidity.
This National Register property lies in the heart of Summerville's Historic District.
Your accommodations are in the beautifully restored former servants quarters at the rear of the property. The cottage is a past recipient of the Summerville Preservation Society Restoration Award.

This 800 square foot cottage is reached by its own private drive. Inside you will find a large sitting room with a vaulted ceiling and fireplace, a large bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and queen sized rice bed with sitting area, and a full kitchen and bath.
The interior has been decorated professionally with fine fabrics, linens and reproduction furniture. A full gourmet breakfast served in the Cottage or on the patio on weekdays and in the dining room of the main house on weekends. Complimentary coffee, soft drinks, tea and juice are provided in the cottage.
Outside is your own private and secluded yard, brick patio and access to an outdoor hot tub on the deck of the main house.
