Close to the beach, yet without being caught up in the pace and the noise. Those who want something different can experience the near by antique auctions or hold on for the fast-paced races at Darlington International Speedway. History abounds in nearby Charleston, Britton's Neck and Camden. In fact, this is the area where Francis Marion, the Revolutionary War's "Swamp Fox," defeated the British. Over the years, the town of Marion has secured its own fame as eastern Carolina's "most beautiful city," and "the pretty little town on the way to the beach."
