Introduction
Built in 1889, this three-story Victorian house offers four elegant guest rooms with queen sized beds, private baths, fireplaces, and central heat and air conditioning. Two of the rooms also feature daybeds to accommodate additional guests.
Each room is tastefully decorated with an elegant blend of French and Southern styles, and connects to a bright and spacious breakfast room and sitting parlor. Beautiful southern porches are garnished with collections of exotic bonsai trees, all overlooking landscaped gardens and a lighted, plant-filled pond complete with Japanese Koi. The finishing touch is a great six-foot iron cage inhabited by our resident white cockatoo, Shakespeare, and a very talkative African Grey named Max.
For our many business travelers, each room is equipped with a telephone and wireless internet access. We also have a public laptop, discretely nestled in the tea nook, available for checking internet mail. A fax machine is accessible downstairs upon request.
Located in the historic district of Summerville, we are within walking distance of fine restaurants, antique shops, and specialty and clothing boutiques. Downtown Charleston is a fifteen minute drive away.
Locally, there are many golf courses, beaches, lakes, historic gardens, and plantations. There is also horseback riding, canoeing, and tennis.
Special events which occur in the area include the Flowertown Festival, the Cooper River Bridge Run, the Southeastern Wildlife Expositions, and the Spoleto Festival.
