Breakfast on the Veranda

A delicious new menu is planned daily and may include various homemade breads such as, chocolate chip scones, muffins, Bonnie's wonderful stuffed whole wheat honey oat bread, coffee cakes, and biscuits.

Numerous egg dishes are prepared with side servings of choice breakfast meats. One of the most requested recipes is the Inn's "Heaven in your mouth" cinnamon French toast, which has been described as "legendary".

Breakfast

Breakfast Served everyday, our "fruit sampler" consists of 6 to 10 fresh fruits. Interesting potato sides or grits are options. The inn offers a Mexican fiesta, various casseroles, waffles and numerous other delicious selections. In addition to orange juice, Hazelnut, Cafe DuMonde, and de-caf coffee's are served. Tea lovers can choose from a wonderfully broad selection of teas.

"Annie's Cakes" were created in honor of ANNIE SHORT HARRINGTON, OF MARLBORO COUNTY, a former AUNT JEMIMA. Though not a real person, beginning in 1893, Aunt Jemima was brought to life by a series of actresses. Annie Short Harrington was one of the chosen who has lovingly endeared hearts and pleasantly satisfied the appetites in households throughout the world for over a century. ANNIE SHORT HARRINGTON...THE SPECIAL AUNT OF MARLBORO.

Breakfast is very colorful, elegant, and garnished with freshly picked herbs and flowers selected from the inn's gardens. Each day the table settings bring new surprising color schemes. WHEN ADVISED THE NIGHT BEFORE SERVING: We are happy to meet special dietary needs, including diabetic & vegetarian/vegan dishes. Guests choosing to slumber late, may enjoy a leisurely continental breakfast in the privacy of their rooms or in the guest kitchens. Those leaving prior to serving time may choose from a continental breakfast or "breakfast to go!". Breakfast
