Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the quaint little hamlet of Landrum, South Carolina, this unique accommodation offers comfort, convenience and accessibility. There are two guest cottages each completely self-contained with a bedroom, with queen-sized bed, bathroom with whirlpool tub, living room, satellite television, and fully equipped kitchen. Situated on a private forty-three acre horse farm, it affords guests the taste of the area, as well as the feel of the serene country life. Whether you are visiting for horse showing, house hunting, fox hunting, or vacationing, you can relax and sit back to enjoy the view and ambiance. Comfortable is the one word that describes this wonderful establishment. |

The first step across the threshold always takes guests by surprise. Eleven foot ceilings give a wonderful sense of space. It is tastefully decorated with antique furniture and many of the wall accoutrements are by local artists. "Home away from home" could well describe this luxurious lodging facility. The house is located within five minutes of Landrum or Tryon, where numerous restaurants are available to serve you. If you have more time and want to travel a few more miles, Spartanburg, Greenville, Hendersonville, and Asheville are not far away. In addition to the local eating venues, there are numerous antique shops, tack shops, art galleries featuring horses and more, and gift shops brimming with locally made wares such as pottery, woodcrafts, quilts and wovens. The area is well known for its local artists. There are also the Tryon Fine Arts Center and the Upstairs Art Gallery which feature local professional artists. |

Amenities include a full kitchen, tile floors intentionally designed for the canine member of your family, and a whirlpool tub perfect for massaging those achy muscles at the end of the day. Breakfast items include milk, juice, eggs, and baked goods from our local bakery. Our doggy guests are not forgotten. There are doggy beds, doggy bowls, and doggy biscuits. Please see our guestbook for past doggy guests. FENCE (Foothills Equestrian Nature Center) is a stone's throw from Barking Fox Farm. It's a wonderful place to walk your dogs on their beautiful trails. Another nearby trail system is the Blue Wall Passage of the Palmetto Trail. This is a very "doggy friendly" area. |
