During extensive travels throughout the world the owners of the Ashley Inn acquired a love for the quaint, personal service of small bed and breakfasts. This intimate knowledge is culminated in this architectural treasure. Located in the Historic District near tennis, swimming and golf and Civil War Walking Tour, the Ashley Inn Bed & Breakfast is Charleston's gourmet breakfast place!

The Inn features six guest rooms and a suite, all tastefully furnished with antique four poster, pencil post and canopied rice beds. Private baths, air conditioning and cable TV insure your comfort. The parlor and dining room fireplaces provide a warm setting on cool mornings for the gourmet breakfasts for which the Ashley Inn has become so well known.

Sleep in - until the aroma of fresh brewed coffee and sizzling bacon lure you to the columned piazza for breakfast overlooking a beautiful Charleston garden with its charming brick walkway and goldfish pond.

Most of the innkeepers' day is devoted to the next day's gourmet fare. Guests rave over their low country creations such as Carolina sausage pie with fluffy sweet potato biscuits, crunchy French toast (yes, crunchy) with orange honey sauce or peaches and cream stuffed waffles with praline sauce.

To pamper you even further we've added afternoon tea with sumptuous home baked goods and evening sherry. When you arrive, park in our off street lot and head off on complimentary touring bikes. It's the best way to see the city, hassle free!
