Vincent Van Gogh
The Van Gogh room is decorated after his 1888 still life of a vase of sunflowers intended to decorate his brightly painted house in Arles, south of Paris. He hoped one day they might be worth as much as 500 francs. Van Gogh is one of the founding fathers of the Modern Art period.
Mary Cassatt
The Cassatt room is stylized after one of her most ambitious works, "The Boating Party," painted in 1894. The work reflects a number of artistic influences including Cravaggio, Manet, and Degas. Cassatt is often referred to as an impressionistic artist, however, she detested the term and to the end of her days she referred to herself and her colleagues as "independents."

James Beardsley
The Beardsley room is stylized after the artistic period entitled Art Nouveau. Beardsley is termed a decorative artist with never a trace of "naturalism" creeping in to mar his work. Beardsley had an artistic career of only six years, however, his ideologies and influences governed the Art Nouveau movement.
Georgia O'Keeffe
This O'Keeffe room reflects her love affair with flowers. She amplified a flower until it filed the canvas, demanded an awed response while in reality the flower was tiny. O'Keeffe painted her flowers big so the viewer would take the time to see in the flower what she herself saw. She wanted to make every busy New Yorker take time to see. O'Keeffe is one of the influencers of American Modern Art.
