Newport, Rhode Island (RI) Bed & Breakfast: Located a scant block from town in a residential neighborhood. We recently added gardens and sitting areas in our massive backyard. Spacious rooms with private baths, ceiling fans, and air conditioning. Amenities include plenty of off-street parking, complimentary refreshments in the afternoon, and plenty of warm Yankee hospitality. On the first floor we have a dining room where a full three course breakfast is served each morning between 8 and 10 AM. Guests awaken to the aroma of freshly baking bread and coffee brewing.

The Marshall Slocum Inn is a classic Newport bed and breakfast offering five distinctively decorated guest rooms. To see if your room choice is available and to make a reservation at the Inn click on the "Reserve Now" button below. All Room Rates at our Rhode Island Inn include a full gourmet breakfast prepared each morning by our chef, parking at the Inn, full concierge service, and wireless internet. All of our guest rooms at the Inn feature private baths, Queen or King beds, down comforters, terry cloth robes, Crown Imperial bath linens, and air conditioning. Some of the guest rooms feature other amenities such as whirlpool bathtubs, fireplaces, ceiling fans, and skylights. We hope you will be our guest and enjoy all of what Newport has to offer.

Policies
  • Your reservation at our Rhode Island Inn is guaranteed with your credit card number. We do not charge your card in advance.
  • We accept payment with credit card, cash, traveler's checks or personal check by mail.
  • Cancellation Policy: Unless otherwise discussed and noted in your confirmation there is no charge if you cancel two weeks prior to arrival. A charge of half your stay is made on your credit card if canceled within two weeks of arrival AND we are unable to rerent your guest room. This charge is only made if we are unable to rerent your room.
  • Check-in time is between 12 noon & 7 pm. If an earlier or later check in is needed, please let us know in advance.
  • Check out is 11 am. Guests may leave their belongings and their car at the bed and breakfast and retrieve them later in the day.
  • We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards. We offer a 10% discount for cash payment.
  • A 7% state sales tax and 6% city hospitality tax is added to all room totals.
  • A full gourmet breakfast is served between 8 and 10 am. Please let us know when making your reservation if you have any dietary concerns and we will modify your breakfast. Coffee is available at 7:30 am.
  • We have complementary on-site parking for our guests. Upon arriving follow the driveway to the parking area at the rear of the property.
  • We are a smoke free establishment. You are welcome to smoke outside on the porch or back deck. Guests who choose to ignore our smoke free policy will be charged a $200 fee to cover the cleaning expenses associated with smoke removal.
