With inspiration from the gas lights on Pelham Street -- America's first gas-lit street -- the Gaslight Suite is accented with Victorian era gaslights. The bedroom features a grand, mahogany, 4 poster Caribbean queen and a ship bunk style reading nook, snuggled into a large, elevated, rectangular bay window. The second room might be described as a whirlpool room with living quarters or a living room with spa touches. Either way, it features a whirlpool for 2, gas fireplace, rollarm sofa, with nicely detailed, arched mirrors. A separate bathing salon has a shower. The Gaslight Suite is located on the first floor. Rate range $220 - $335. |
