End of Innocence

This room is decorated with paintings by legendary Newport artist Beatrice Turner, whose enigmatic life was a metaphor for the depression and the World War II era (1929 - 1946), when the age of gilt and glitter collapsed. Included is a never-before-publicly displayed door panel with painted flowers from Beatrice's bedroom at her Newport mansion.

End of Innocence The sunny, south-facing End of Innocence State Room features 4 floor-to-ceiling windows, king Bedford 4-poster bed, green marble-surrounded gas fireplace, sitting area with 2 chairs, and iPod-enabled sound system with built-in room speakers. Marble bathing salon highlighted in rich earth tones and creams features whirlpool for 2, European-style hand shower (only), heated towel bars. Located on the second floor.
Rate range $250 - $395.
