Here is one that she was willing to share...
Whisk the following ingredients into a batter:
1 quart eggnog
3 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. clove
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. Frangelica
Soak thick slices of challah bread in the mixture.
1 lb. fresh or frozen strawberries
3 tbsp. Grand Marnier
Mix the sugar and Grand Marnier together in a bowl then add the strawberries and refrigerate overnight.
Let stand for 30 minutes at room temperature prior to serving.
Sear both sides of the bread in a non-stick pan, treated with cooking spray.
Preheat oven to 350 and bake bread on a cookie sheet for ten minutes.
Serve with a combination of the warmed strawberry topping and hot maple syrup.
