Ham & Cheese Strata Recipe

From
8 slices of bread, cubed
8 ounces shredded cheddar, divided
1 cup diced smoked ham
6 eggs
2 cups half & half
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 – 3 green onions, sliced
paprika (optional)

Lightly grease 9” x 13” baking dish. Place half of the bread cubes in bottom of dish. Spread the ham and half of the shredded cheddar over bread. Mix together seasonings and sprinkle over cheese. Top with remaining bread. Beat eggs and milk and pour over bread. Spread remaining cheese on top. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until set. Cut into squares to serve. Serves 6 – 8.
