Swan House Coffee Cake

From SEVEN SEA STREET INN
Bake at 350° for 45-60 minutes

Ingredients:
2 cups Self Rising Flour
1 cup granulated Sugar
1 teaspoon ground Nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground Cloves
1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
½ cup Vegetable Shortening
2 cups Sour Cream

Topping:
½ cup Flour
¼ cup granulated Sugar
1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground Cloves
1/3 cup Vegetable Shortening
*Process Topping first and set aside

Mix together Flour, Sugar, Nutmeg, Cloves, and Cinnamon.
Add Shortening, and with a fork process until crumbly.

Mix together Self Rising Flour, Sugar, Nutmeg, Cloves, Cinnamon, Salt, and Baking Soda.
Add Vegetable Shortening, and with a fork, process until mixture is crumbly.
Add Sour Cream and just mix, do not over mix.
Spread mixture into a greased and floured Spring Pan.
Generously sprinkle with Topping.
Placed into preheated oven.
