1 c. margarine (softened) 5-6 T. cocoa 1 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 c. flour 2 tsp. vanilla Mix all ingredients until smooth. Glaze: 3 1/2 T. butter (melted), 3 T. cocoa, 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla. Stir in powdered sugar until crumbly. Blend in 3 T. boiling water and stir until smooth. Heat waffle iron to same temp as for waffles. Drop in 1 round teaspoon on each section of waffler. Cook the same time as waffles. Glaze while warm. Makes 3 dozen. *Our children demonstrated this recipe for 4-H. The cookies were consumed by fellow members before the demonstration concluded. |
