Cream sugar and butter, beat in egg and extract. Combine dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Divide dough in fourths, form into 12x3 rectangles. Place 5" apart on greased baking sheets. Brush with mlik; sprinkle with almonds. Bake 325 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes or until firm to touch and edges lightly browned. Cool in pan for 5 min. Cut diagonally into 1" slices. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Combine icing; drizzle over bars.
