Quiche Lorraine With Swiss Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C. Grated Swiss Cheese
  • 8 slices of crisp bacon, crumbles
  • 1 Pastry for 1 crust 9 - inch unbaked
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 1 C. heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Powdered mustard
  • Dash cayenne

Directions

Sprinkle cheese and bacon into pastry-lined pie pan. Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over cheese. Bake in preheated oven 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until firm and browned. Cool for about 10 minutes . Cut into wedges and serve hot.

Makes 6 servings

Serve with fresh fruit and a muffin.

** you can top with fresh broccoli cut in small peaces , chopped spinach or cheddar cheese before pouring mix over to finish before baking.
