A wonderfully delicate sweet bread. Perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Then add eggs one at a time. Continue to cream and add vanilla, then yogurt. Fold in all dry ingredients.
Grease and flour two 9x5 loaf pans and then fill half full with batter. Combine brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, and pears. Divide mixture evenly between loaf pans. Fill pans with remaining batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
