Very easy recipe that everyone seems to love.
Can try many variations with other kinds of bread, ie. Blueberrry Bread.
Makes sandwiches of french toast with a layer of cream cheese between two pieces of bread.
We serve this with sausage links, shredded hash browns, and some kind of fruit.
Mix the eggs, milk, vanilla, and almond extract as you would scrambled eggs.
Spread the cream cheese between two pieces of bread to make four sandwiches.
Dip each sandwich into egg mixture, first one side then the other for approx. 6 seconds each side.
Cook one side at a time on a greased griddle or pan on medium high heat until starting to brown and eggs seem cooked.
Spread honey butter on one side and put that side down on plate (cut into triangles).
Sprinkle a light dusting of powdered sugar on top and serve immediately with your favorite pancake syrup.
