Ingredients
- 5 OZ DRIED BLACK BEANS & 1 QT WATER
- 2-3 PIECES CELERY (COARSELY CHOPPED)
- 1/2 MED YELLOW ONION (COARSELY CHOPPED)
- 2-3 STRIPS BACON
- 2 OZ TOMATO SAUCE
- 3/4 TSP CAYENNE PEPPER
- 3/4 TSP WHITE PEPPER
- 3/4 TSP ALLSPICE
- 1 1/2 TSP BLACK PEPPER (TABLE GROUND)
- 1/2 TBL BEEF BASE
- 1/2 TBL GROUND GARLIC
Directions
BOIL THE FIRST FIVE ITEMS IN THE WATER FOR 1 1/2 HOURS. ADD LAST 5 ITEMS AND BOIL FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES. PUREE IN BLENDER OR FOOD PROCESSOR IN BATCHES, POUR INTO BOWLS AND GARNISH WITH SOUR CREAM.
