Prep time: 10 minutes
12 slices pineapple - either fresh or canned
3 tablespoons Kirsch/sherry
1 1/2 to 2 cups sour cream
2/3 cups (firmly packed) brown sugar
Just before serving, spread sour cream over the pineapple slices.
Be sure that the edges are completely covered and that a layer of sour cream is about 1/2 inch thick.
Evenly sprinkle the brown sugar over the sour cream.
Immediately slip tray/pan containing coated pineapple under the broiler until the brown sugar bubbles and is caramelized (about 4 minutes).
Remove from broiler and serve immediately.
