Banana Bread


Fresh-baked with organic ingredients, this is a great all-weather second course in our three-course gourmet meals!


  • 2 1/2 cups Flour (we use organic white unbleached flour)
  • 3 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 5 Tbsp. Soft Butter
  • 1 Egg (ours are organic brown eggs from a local farm)
  • 3 Ripe Organic Bananas
  • 1/2 cup Mlik


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.

  3. In blender, mix sugars, butter, egg, bananas and milk. Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and mix.

  4. Pour batter into a buttered 9"x5" loaf pan.

  5. Bake for one hour, then remove form loaf pan and cool on a rack.

  6. Optional; 3/4 cup walnuts may be added to dry ingredients.
