Quiche Lorraine With Swiss CheeseFrom J. PAULE'S FENN INN
Cooking Time:45 minutes
- 1 1/2 C. Grated Swiss Cheese
- 8 slices of crisp bacon, crumbles
- 1 Pastry for 1 crust 9 - inch unbaked
- 3 Eggs
- 1/2 C. milk
- 1 C. heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Powdered mustard
- Dash cayenne
Sprinkle cheese and bacon into pastry-lined pie pan. Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over cheese. Bake in preheated oven 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until firm and browned. Cool for about 10 minutes . Cut into wedges and serve hot.
Makes 6 servings
Serve with fresh fruit and a muffin.
** you can top with fresh broccoli cut in small peaces , chopped spinach or cheddar cheese before pouring mix over to finish before baking.
