Breakfast Croissants
From HILLCREST HIDE-AWAY BED & BREAKFAST
For each croissant: 1 large croissant, cut into top and bottom halves 1/3 cup grated Swiss cheese, divided 1 Tablespoon grated parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoons grated Monterey jack or mozzarella cheese 1 large egg 1/4 cup milk 1/8 teaspoon pepper dash nutmeg dash salt 1/4 cup finely diced ham Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a shallow ovenproof bowl. Slice croissant in half and place in bowl. Sprinkle each croissant bottom half with ham, 1/4 cup Swiss cheese and the other cheeses. In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, milk and seasonings. Pour over the croissant and cheeses. Replace top of croissant. Sprinkle with the remaining Swiss cheese. Bake about 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the croissants are golden brown. |
