Crème de Menthe Bars
From THE GINGERBREAD HOUSEDirections
Cake Layer:
1 c. sugar
½ c. butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 – 16 oz. Can chocolate syrup
1 c. flour
1 tsp. Vanilla
Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 13 x 9 greased /floured pan. Bake at 350 for 30 mins.
Cool in pan
Mint Layer:
2 c. 10x sugar
3 tbsp. Crème de menthe (green) OR 3 tbsp milk
½ c. butter
Mix all ingredients together and spread over cooled cake layer
Icing Layer:
6 oz. Semi sweet chocolate chips
6 tbsp. Butter
Melt icing ingredients together. Cool slightly and spread over mint layer.
Chill 5 – 10 minutes. Cut into squares. May be frozen.
