Chadbourne House Blueberry Buckle

From THE CHADBOURNE HOUSE
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups unbleached soft flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups wild Maine blueberries (fresh or frozen)

Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup unbleached soft flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup margarine or butter

Beat together margarine and sugar. Add egg and milk, stir in flour salt and baking powder. Pour into a greased 9x9 pan or a 7x12 pan. Cover with blueberries. In a separate bowl, combine toping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of blueberries. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

Serve warm with a dollop of lemon curd.
