Cranberry Scones
From CASA SEDONA BED AND BREAKFAST INNDirections
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 t. baking soda
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. dried cranberries (or any fruits, nuts, etc.)
Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl; add buttermilk, melted buter, and cranberries, Fold gently until evenly moistened. Do not over mix. On a greased baking sheet, drop spoonfuls of batter about one inch apart. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 - 17 minutes until lightly browned. Makes 12 - 16 scones
