Frosted Banana Bars

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
- 2 eggs
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Line a 10X15 jellyroll pan with greased parchment paper. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the sour cream and vanilla. Finally, mix in the mashed banana. Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow bars to completely cool before frosting.
Cream Cheese Frosting
6 oz. Cream Cheese
1/2 cup softened butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted powered sugar + 2 cups of powered sugar
Beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.Gradually add 2 cups of sugar, and then gardually beat in the 2nd 2 cups of powered sugar to make a frostings that is easy to spread. Cover and refrigerate.
