Beer-Batter BreadFrom BUFFALO TAVERN BED AND BREAKFAST

How easy is this recipe! And how good it is! You can change it up a bit as long as you use the same basic 3 ingredients...flour, sugar, and a can of 12 oz beer (cheap variety). I add honey and butter or strawberries or peaches or even chocolate chips. Experiment and enjoy. By the way, when I make Beer Batter Bread with fresh strawberries and honey, I save any remaining bread and make French toast the next day.....WOW is it yummy!!! Sometimes I just make it one day and put it in the fridge over night (covered) and use that for my French toast.
- 3 cups Self-rising flour
- 3 Tbs. Sugar (add more for sweeter bread)
- 1-12 oz. can Beer
Mix the three ingredients. Put in a well-oiled loaf pan and let rise for 15-20 minutes (see what that beer does!). Bake for 59 minutes at 350. Test for doneness! Enjoy.
