Joyce's Macadamia WafflesFrom BRIERLEY HILL BED AND BREAKFAST
|1 1/2||Cups buttermilk|
|1||tsp baking powder|
|1/2||Cup butter, melted|
|1||tsp baking soda|
|1||tsp vanilla extract|
|1||Cup sour cream|
|1/2||Cup chopped nuts (pecan, macadamia, etc)|
|2||Cups all-purpose flour|
In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Set aside. In a large bowl beat the remaining ingredients together. Fold in the egg whites.
May be prepared the night before and refrigerated.
Pour into a hot waffle iron that has been greased and bake. Serve waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
