Sticky Gingerbread

A Spicy Treat

Ingredients

  • 8 oz butter
  • 1 cup+ 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups molasses
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

Melt 8 oz butter with 1 cup+ 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 1/4 cups of molasses.

Mix tog. 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of allspice.  Beat together 2 eggs and add to flour mix and add all to butter mix.

 

In a small container put 3 tablespoons of warm milk and stir in 1 teaspoon of baking soda until frothy.  Add to mix.

 

Cook in well greased 9" pan.  Bake for 40 mins or until done.
