Breakfast Cheese Puff

9 slices sour dough bread
3 tablespoons soften butter
2 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups milk
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 1/2 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon paprika

Spread butter on bread, cut into large cubes. Place 1/3 into a buttered 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/3 cheese. Repeat with remaining bread and cheese to make two more layers of each. Beat eggs with remaining ingredients, pour over bread-cheese layers, cover. Refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until puffed and golden and sharp knife insered in center comes out clean (not milky).
