Pear - Sausage Souffle

From A VIEW TO REMEMBER BED & BREAKFAST

Serves 4

A hearty Fall breakfast when fresh Pears are in season

Directions

4 slices of firm white bread cubed and placed in a 8x8 baking dish. In a bowl combine~ 4 eggs,1 cup milk, 1.5 tsp sugar and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Pour mixture over bread and refrigerate overnight. Saute 4 oz of bulk pork sausage and sprinkle over top Peel,core and slice 2 ripe pears. Dip slices in lemon juice and layer over top of sausage. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes Sprinkle with 1/4 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese and bake till cheese melts( about 5 minutes longer) Serves 4
