3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugars. Add molasses and egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients. Chill for 1 hour. Make into small balls and roll in additional sugar. Bake at 375 ° for 9 minutes.
